Although theoretically every Pokemon can undergo the morphing process, certain species are restricted on Pokemorph MUSH for various reasons. Applications for these species will, in all probability, be turned down, so it's best to inquire first if there's even the slightest chance of obtaining a morph on this list before going through all the work of writing an application. Chances of exceptions are extremely slim.
Currently restricted species include all overpopulated Pokemorphs; Ditto, because though it's theoretically possible to morph a ditto, too many restrictions would be needed on ditto-morphs; Reverse-Morphs, that is, Human->Pokemorph instead of Pokemon->Pokemorph; and any Pokemon that are one-of-a-kind, such as Raikou or Mew. There is currently only one legendary Pokemon that has been morphed, and such Pokemon are treated as FCs; there can be only one of each, so if the position is already filled, then you're out of luck. Some legendary species might not even be available, morphed or not.
Dark types are restricted in that they cannot be First Generation Pokemorphs (see the glossary). This is because the first version of The Change was incompatible with them for various reasons. A Second Gen or Free Birth may be apped without problem. Umbreon can be First Gen if and only if they were Morphed as an Eevee, then evolved.
Unmorphable species have, for one reason or another, consistently failed to either survive, or be practical to Morph. Team Rocket has not and will not succeed in morphing these species.
Pokemon that have not yet appeared in a core Pokemon game in the US cannot be applied for until the game is released, and staff has made a decision regarding their availability.
Finally, Pokemorphs created by mating a human and pokemon/morph are restricted, as per our theme. They are NOT compatible. As follows is a clearcut list of restricted species.
