POKEMORPH CODE v1.2
Developed by Lux with help from May, Nidonocu, Liz, Issachar, and Fault. Inspired by the GryphCode of the Gryphon's Guild.

This code is developed and geared primarily for use in the Pokemorph universe of Pokemorph MUSH, created by Fault (darkstripes@hotmail.com, www.pokemorph.com). Many tags are PMM-specific and may not apply for separate universes developed elsewhere. This code by no means attempts to blanket all of Pokemorph fandom, but one popular facet. Comments, questions, and suggestions for new tags to appear in new versions can be directed at Lux at illucianlux@aol.com. Flames will merely be laughed at and deleted.

You may choose not to use any of these tags, but remember that the more you use, the more specific and unique your code is. However, if a certain tag doesn't apply to your character (like team/affiliation), you may skip it entirely.

Feel free to use this code in your sigs, homepages, anywhere else you might want to advertise your PMM self!


Start with PMC for Pokemorph Code.

.M for Morph
.H for Human
.P for Pokemon.

If M or P, add three-digit species number in [ ]. So for a Pikachu-morph, PMC.M[025].


ELEMENT

Because some of us haven't memorized the species numbers, or remember that gengar is ghost/poison. Start with E for Element.

GENDER

[f] for female
[m] for male
[n] for neuter


AGE/GENERATION

Note: Generation applies only to morphs. You can substitute numerical age for morphs if you wish. For Pokemon, a generic [adolescent] or other such term could apply.

A[age]. So A[19] would be 19 years old.
[fg] for First Gen
[sg] for Second Gen
[fb] for Freebirth
[x.x] for dead (ghostmon or morph) ^^;

To indicate age and generation both, put age first, and then generation. So for a 21-year-old Second Gen, A[21sg].


APPEARENCE

This tag is primarily for morphs, but can be used for humans and Pokemon as well. It can be used to denote such things as color variations, a more feral or more humanoid appearence, and the like. It shouldn't be too complicated; use your @descs for that. ^^ This tag can get rather complicated.

PC for Primary Color, followed by a tag for specific color. This is the same as the +finger listing. H for hair color, E for eye color. If hairless (or eyeless), leave out the tag.

.usual Usual coloration for your species (if you don't want to get into detail).

If your color isn't listed, spell it out. If two colors equally apply, hyphenate: blu-gry for blue-grey.

Modifying tags: * for shiny, L for light shade of listed color, D for dark shade of listed color. To denote a more feral or more humanoid appearence, add (f) or (h) to the end of the tag. This is a generalization; again, use your @desc for a more specific description.

Ex: PC.pnkH.LpurE.blu(h) for primary color of pink, light purple hair, blue eyes, humanoid appearence.
PC.gld*H.whE.grn for a shiny-gold morph with white hair and green eyes.
PC.flH.blnE.blu-gry for flesh-colored (human) with blonde hair and blue-grey eyes.


TEAM/AFFILIATION

Many morphs and humans are part of various teams, organizations, and affiliations. Pokemon can ignore this code or, if owned, list the team of their owner. Only two major teams are listed for now; if other groups become stronger, they may ask to have a separate listing here, if they have a listing on the MUSH as well.

T.TR for Team Rocket
T.PIA for the Pokemorph Intelligence Agency
T.O for Other. You may specify Other with T.O(name).
T.UN for Unaffiliated. (Or you could skip the tag entirely.)


BATTLE SKILL

Many First Gens are highly trained combatants, and many Pokemorphs in general make it a part of their life to stay in top condition in the case of battle. Denote battle skill with a B. This code is primarily for morphs, but works also for Pokemon and humans.

B+++ Fighting is my life. The sea will turn red with the blood of my victims.
B++ I take part in tournaments whenever I can, and often win them. I might find myself fighting random morphs for sport or defense.
B+ I keep in top condition, but there's more to life.
B I can fight if I have to. And I can win, too. Sometimes.
B- I lose more than I win, but I'm working on that!
B-- I really don't fight. I'd rather run and hide.
B--- Battle? What's that?

Add (p) for pacifist, (sa) for super-aggressive.

Ex: B++(p) would denote a morph who has a lot of skill but is pacifistic toward battle.
B+++(sa) denotes Your Worst Nightmare. Or Fault.


BATTLE STYLE

To go along with Battle Skill. How does your character prefer to battle? Physical blows, or stand back and slam them with long-range elemental strikes? Denote with BSt. Some species may be more inclined toward one than the other (fighters toward physical, etc.) If you want, you may skip this tag.

.ph Primarily physical. (Bite, Jump Kick, Slam, etc.)
.el Primarily elemental. (Surf, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, etc.)
.mix A mixture of physical attacks and elemental blasts.


DEMEANOR

For morphs, attitude toward humans. For humans, attitude toward morphs. Specify with (m) or (h) for target. Pokemon can ignore or direct toward whichever they trust/mistrust most.

D+++ I wish I could be a ___.
D++ We're best friends!
D+ We get along alright most of the time.
D I don't care either way.
D- If they don't bug me, I don't harm them.
D-- I don't like them. At all.
D--- Kill! Kill! Kill!

Ex: D(h) means indifference toward humans. D--(m) denotes a strong dislike of morphs.


MATING STATUS

Some characters have "mates" or significant others. If you want to share your mating status with the rest of the MUSH world, here goes!

M++++ Mated with children
M+++ Mated (long term relationship with a spouse; ie, married/engaged)
M++ I've got a girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other.
M+ Single and looking.
M Single and indifferent.
M- Single and not looking.
M-- Ask me again and I'll remove you from the gene pool.
Mx Used to be mated (broke up/widowed)
Mk Single with kids.
Mty Too young to think about that sort of thing. I mean, don't they have cooties?

If you want to differentiate between IC and RL, do so like so:
IC single and not looking, RL girlfriend/boyfriend: M(ic rl++).
IC used to be mated, RL single and looking: M(icx rl+).
If you do not differentiate, it will assumed to be IC status.


SOCIABILITY

How social are you? Are you part of a large group of friends, or would you be perfectly content to live out your days as a hermit?

S+++ I'm very sociable! I make friends very easily across all species!
S++ I'm pretty friendly, but I approach those outside my species with caution.
S+ I have quite a few friends, but I like to stick to my species. (Note: species as in human, morph, or Pokemon, not specific species of Dratini.)
S I tend to have friends among my element/type only.
S- I only have a few close friends.
S-- There's only one other I trust enough.
S--- No friends. I don't need 'em. Go away.
S---- How did you even find me to ask me this question? I live alone. Far away from civilization. Now, git offa mah property! *clickclick*


IC OCCUPATION

Do you have a special job that stands out about your character? List it here! Start with Job, then [ ]. If your character has no job, you may skip this tag.

[team] My job is my team.
[shop] I run a shop on the island.
[other] Just replace other with what your job is.

Ex: Job[band] if involved in a band. ^^


The following tags are of a more OOC nature. ^^

OOC/IC SIMILARITY

How much are you like your character--or how much is your character like you? All characters have some bit of yourself in them, but the degree is something that varies with each one. Your character might even be a total representation of yourself. Show how much your OOC self is like your IC self with this tag.

Sim+++ My character is so much like me, I get confused when I look in the mirror and don't see his/her face!
Sim++ There's a lot of similarities between me and my characters--he/she's a pretty good representation of who I'd be if I was in PMM's universe!
Sim+ The similarities outweigh the differences.
Sim There's similarities, but there's also differences.
Sim- My character's not very much like me at all.
Sim-- He/she's just a character; heaven forbid I was actually like this!
Sim--- There's almost nothing about my character that resembles me.
Sim[A] This is my online avatar, or close to it; I get called by this name all across cyberspace, I prefer it over my real name, and I even get phone calls asking for this name!


MUSH FRUITINESS

"Fruitiness" is a term used in various online communities to describe how long you've been a member, or how well-known you are. If you don't want to share this, you don't have to. Not that those who are longer members and more well-known are better than anyone else--this is all in fun!

Fr+++ I was part of the Pokemorph Island eGroup that predated PMM.
Fr++ I was one of the first on the MUSH.
Fr+ I was a member when M2L and S6 were active.
Fr I've been here a few months.
Fr- I've been here a month or so.
Fr-- I'm brand-spankin'-new!
Fr--- I'm still waiting for app approval! *crosses fingers*


RL OCCUPATION

Players on PMM have all manner of occupations--from "student" to anything else. If you want, let others know what you're likely doing if you're not connected to PMM! If you're unemployed, you can skip this tag.

Occ[student] I'm a full-time student!
Hyphenate if you want to specify: Student-ms for middle school, -hs for high school, -col for college.
Occ[other] List your job in the brackets. Hyphenate if you want to specify -pt for part time, -ft for full time.

If both student and working a job, / between them. Ex: Occ[student-col/McD's-pt] for college student working part-time at McDonald's.


LOCATION

We've got players from all over the globe! Of course, privacy is key, so be only as specific as you want to. Loc[name] with name as a country abbreviation, or state/province. Any more specific is probably too much. Additionally, if you want to add your time zone, append tz with a period after it and then your time zone abbreviation. This helps if you don't want to specify state, but do want to indicate about where you are. If this varies, list your usual location for simplicity's sake, or be a bit more broad.

Ex: Loc[MN]tz.CDT for Minnesota, Central Daylight Time.
Loc[UK]tz.GMT for United Kingdom, Greenwich Mean Time.
Loc[CA]tz.EST for Canada, Eastern Standard Time.

(Remember to update if your area observes Daylight Savings Time.)


POKEMORPH ART

Are you a Pokemorph artist? Do you wish you were? Are you open for requests or commissions? Use this tag to tell about it.

Art++ I draw morphs, and I'm darn good at it--or at least, people say I am!
Art+ I do some morph drawing here and there. I think I'm pretty good.
Art I've drawn morphs on occassion, but it's not that spectacular. I'd like to be better.
Art- I've drawn some morphs, but I don't really share it.
Art-- I can't draw morphs.
Art(x) I draw, but not morphs.
Art? What's art? ^^;;

Add ! if you take requests, ~ if you do art trades, $ if you take commissions. So Art+! shows you do some morph artwork and would accept requests. Art++~$ shows you are really good at it, but don't take requests, just art trades and commissions for money.


POKEMORPH FANFICTION

Like the art tag, do you do fanfics? Would you include others in them? Tell about it!

Fan++ I've written quite a few Pokemorph fanfics!
Fan+ I've written some fanfics!
Fan I've written one or two.
Fan- I've got ideas, but it doesn't come together.
Fan-- The "history" on my apps is as close as I've gotten.
Fan--- Nope. Can't write 'em.
Fan(x) I write fanfics, just not Pokemorph ones.

DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION

It seems that Dance Dance Revolution and other dancing games are popular among the Pokemorph community--sometimes it completely dominates the pub chan! So, are you a DDR Freak?

DDR! Heck, yeah! I'm a DDR champion, that's what! DDR is life!
DDR++ I'm pretty darn good at it!
DDR+ I love it, but I could use more practice. ^^;
DDR I've played a few times, and would love to play more.
DDR- I haven't played, but want to!
DDR-- I played it once. It's not for me.
DDR--- Never played it, never intend to.
